Amelia Bloomer Project

The Amelia Bloomer Project is an annual book list published by the Feminist Task Force of the American Library Association's Social Responsibilities Round Table for the purpose of honoring children's books with feminist themes. The name of the list refers to the pioneering 19th-century American feminist and journalist, Amelia Bloomer. Books included on the list may be appropriate for youth aged anywhere from birth to age eighteen.[1] The project organizers state the criteria for a book's inclusion in the list as:

The list has been published annually since 2002 and includes both fiction and nonfiction recommendations.[3]
