American Dad!'s 11th season (2014) was the series' final season on FOX. The cable network TBS picked up the series for its 12th season as announced in July 2013. The following 15 episodes debuted on October 20, 2014.[2][3][4] TBS has aired reruns of American Dad! in syndication for several years and continues to.[5] American Dad co-creator and showrunner Mike Barker said show's upcoming network relocation, "It's going to be the same American Dad!, just in a different place."[6] However, Barker departed the series over creative differences once early production for season 12 commenced in November 2013.[7]
