Brigadier (R) Amir Gulistan Janjua, SI, was a former governor of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa of Pakistan.[1] He was named Amer Gulistan cause he said news of his birth reached his father while his father won a decisive battle (while on duty in army)in a place name Gulistan, His name means Chief of Gulistan. He was being roommate and friend of Pakistan President Muhammad Zia Ul Haq. He also served as ambassador of Pakistan to UAE.
