Amissah Assan (born 1 January 1990) is a Ghanaian footballer who is currently playing for Baghdad FC.[1] He is a Midfielder who often been touted as a box to box midfielder for his ability to exert energy in supporting defensive and offensive play and for his tough tacking style. Assan can also play as a defender, both on the right of defense and in the centre.[2]

Early life

Born in Accra to Mercy Dadzie and Anfoh Assan, Assan attended Kaneshie West 2 JSS. He began his football career after graduating from T.I Ahmadiyya Secondary School in Gomoa Postin, Assan play at a local club called Windy Professionals which is formally known as National Sports College.

Career

Assan began playing at Kickers FC youth side in Ghana in 2005. In 2006, he joined the division 1 side Windy Professionals, and in 2008 move to Egyptian side Abu Qair Semad, where he played for five seasons. In 2013, he moved to Tala'ea El-Gaish SC, where he played for one year before moving to Haras El-Hodood SC in 2014. Assan later move to Iraq club Baghdad FC in the summer transfer.
