Pho Si Suwan (Thai: โพธิ์ศรีสุวรรณ) is a district (Amphoe) in the northwestern part of Sisaket Province, northeastern Thailand.
History
The minor district (King Amphoe) was established on April 30, 1994, when it was split off from Uthumphon Phisai district.[1]
Following a decision of the Thai government on May 15, 2007, all of the 81 minor districts were to be upgraded to full districts.[2] With the publishing in the Royal Gazette on August 24 the upgrade became official.[3]
Geography
Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Bueng Bun, Uthumphon Phisai and Mueang Chan of Sisaket Province, and Rattanaburi of Surin Province.
Administration
The district is subdivided into 5 subdistricts (tambon), which are further subdivided into 80 villages (muban). There are no municipal (thesaban) areas, and 5 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
