Amy Domingues
Amy Domingues is a cellist and viola da gamba player who performs with Peabody Consort, the Baltimore Baroque band, and the Peabody Renaissance Ensemble. She also performs with the Buxtehude Consort (Philadelphia) and the Capitol Consort of Viols (DC). Dominques has performed in masterclasses for Paolo Pandolfo, Wieland Kuijken, and Sarah Cunningham, and has studied viol with Tina Chancey and viol and baroque cello with John Moran. She is also an active cellist, composer, and teacher in the DC area. Her soundtrack compositions can be heard in the score to 2003’s Academy Award-nominated documentary film The Weather Underground.[1] She has released two cello-oriented rock albums under the name Garland of Hours, in addition to her contributions as a recording artist on over fifty rock, pop, and classical albums.
