"You Thought Your Online Game Wife Wasn't A Girl?") is a Japanese light novel series, written by Shibai Kineko and illustrated by Hisasi. ASCII Media Works have published nine volumes since 2013 under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation with art by Kazui Ishigami began serialization in ASCII Media Works' seinen manga magazine Dengeki G's Comic from August 30, 2014, and has been collected in two tankÅbon volumes. An anime television series adaptation by Project No.9 began airing on April 7, 2016.
Plot
Hideki Nishimura, who plays the game Legendary Age under the alias Rusian, swore off online marriages after confessing to a girl who claimed to be a guy in real-life. Two years later, the persistence of Ako, another Legendary Age player who is in the same guild as him, wore him down, and he agreed to an in-game marriage with her. When he finally meets up with the rest of his guild members, he is shocked to discover that not only are they all, in fact, female, but that they all attend the same school as him.

- The main female protagonist and a cleric in Legendary Age. She is Hideki's in-game wife. She has a hard time distinguishing the gaming world from reality and casually calls everybody in the club by their avatar names in real life.
- Akane Segawa (ç€¬å· èŒœ Segawa Akane) / Schwein (シュヴァイン Shuvain)
- Voiced by: Inori Minase,[1] Masaya Matsukaze (game)
- A member of the Alley Cat guild. She despises otakus despite the fact that she is one herself in reality. Her avatar name is German for pig.

- The leader of the Alley Cat guild and the student council president.

- Akane's friend and a new player. She finds out about Akane's secret that she plays online games and agrees to keep it a secret. Shortly afterwards, she begins playing Legendary Age.

An anime television series adaptation by Project No.9 premiered on April 7, 2016.[12][13] The opening theme is "1st Love Story." by Luce Twinke Wink☆, and the ending theme is "Zero Ichi Kiseki" (ゼãƒã‚¤ãƒã‚ã‚»ã‚, lit. "Zero One Miracle") by Yoshino NanjÅ.[14]
