Andreas Hofgaard Winsnes

Andreas Hofgaard Winsnes (25 October 1889 9 July 1972) was a Norwegian literary historian and historian of ideas. He was born in Nord-Odal, and completed his examen artium in 1908 at Oslo Cathedral School. He was appointed professor at the University of Oslo from 1937. Among his works are his thesis about Johan Nordahl Brun from 1919, Norges Litteratur 1880–1914 from 1937, and biographies of Sigrid Undset and Hans E. Kinck.[1][2]
