Andrew Henry Bayly, FRGS, is a New Zealand politician who was elected to the New Zealand parliament at the 2014 general election as a representative of the New Zealand National Party.

Personal life

Bayly attended Wanganui Collegiate School. While a student there, he accident shot his twin brother, Paul.[1]

Bayly reached the South Pole in 2012. In 2016 he is attempting to reach the North Pole.[2]

Business career

Bayly was an officer in the New Zealand Army Territorials and also served in the British Parachute Regiment.[1][2]

Prior to being elected, Bayly worked as a merchant banker, founding the Cranleigh firm with his twin brother Paul.[3]

Bayly was elected to the New Zealand House of Representatives in 2014, winning the Hunua electorate for the National Party. He replaced Paul Hutchison, who retired.
