Andrew Buchanan (New Zealand politician)
Andrew Buchanan (1806–1877) was a member of the New Zealand Legislative Council from 24 July 1862 to 30 June 1874, when he resigned.[1]
Buchanan was born in Jamaica in 1806, the son of a sugar planter.[2] He settled in Otago with his family. His daughter Janet married William Baldwin.[3]
