Andrew Criss

Andrew Criss (born 1969) is an American artist. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and worked as an art director, illustrator, designer and actor before concentrating full-time on painting.[1]

Criss is based in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and regularly exhibits his work at Gallery Plan B in Washington, D.C., and the Peninsula Gallery in Lewes, Delaware. His work has also been featured in gallery and museum exhibitions across the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. In 2006, he was the recipient of the Delaware Division of the Arts’ Individual Fellowship for Painting.[2]

Nancy Alexander, director of the Rehoboth Art League, described the artist in these terms: "Criss is an amazingly flexible artist. He's known for his wonderful portraits - and when I discovered his landscapes, I was surprised and delighted."[3]
