Andrew Hunter (lawyer)

Andrew H. Hunter (March 22, 1804 – November 21, 1888) was the District Attorney for Charles Town, Virginia, who prosecuted John Brown for the raid on Harpers Ferry. During the Civil War, he was an adviser of Robert E. Lee. After the war, he again served as an attorney for the Commonwealth of Virginia, and was part of the suit to take back the counties of Jefferson and Berkeley.[1]
