Andrew J. Karnley

Andrew J. Karnley is a Liberian clergyman of the Roman Catholic Church. Since early 2011, he has been the bishop of Cape Palmas, a diocese with its seat in Harper.

Karnley was born in Bomi County in April 1967 to Samuel and Hawa (Sandoin) Karnley. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1995, and ten years later he was appointed to be the Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Monrovia. Karnley held this position until being appointed Bishop of Cape Palmas on 5 January 2011. He was ordained to the episcopacy on 30 April at St. Theresa's Cathedral in the presence of archbishops from Ghana, the Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone.[1]
