Andrej Sergeevich Rusakov (also known as Andrey Rusakov Russian: Андрей Сергеевич Русаков) is a Russian-born serial entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. He made his fortune in private equity and hedge funds, and via founding various companies in Russia and the USA.[1][2][3][4][5]

Education

Andrej Rusakov holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and MSc in Mathematics and Theory of Probabilities from the Mechanics & Mathematics department of the Moscow State University.[1][2]

Personal life

Rusakov is not married as of September 2015. He was reported to be in a long term relationship with a Belorussian super model Maryna Linchuk in 2012 - 2014.[2]

Rusakov was named one of Russia’s most eligible bachelors in 2015 by Tatler magazine.[4][5][6][7]

Career

Rusakov started his career at Morgan Stanley (Mergers & Acquisitions Department)[1] and later worked at Apax Partners (Technology & Telecommunications Investment Team) in London.[7] Rusakov founded his own private equity fund at the age of 27[7] as he started Open Capital LLP. The fund provided growth capital for companies in Russia and Eastern Europe and financed expansion of international companies into the Russian market.[7]

Later in his career, Rusakov together with his Harvard Business School colleagues co-founded Data Capital Management – a New York-based systematic event-driven Hedge Fund based on "Big Data" Technologies and Data Feeds.
