Andries Benedetti
Andries Benedetti (c. 1615 – c. 1669), was a Flemish Baroque painter.
Biography
According to the RKD he was a pupil in Antwerp of Vincent Cernevael in 1636, and after that, of Jan Davidsz de Heem.[1] He is known for still lifes after the manner of de Heem and became a master in the Antwerp Guild of St. Luke in 1640.[1] In 1649 his pupil was Jan Baptist Lust.[1] Little is known of his origins, some say he was born in Parma, though he was probably born in Antwerp.[1] Some say he died in Alkmaar, but this is disputed.[1]
