Angèle Bandou

Angèle Bandou (assassinated August 26, 2004) was a politician in the Republic of the Congo. She was the only female candidate to contest the 2002 Congolese presidential election. She was the President of the Party of the Poor. She gained 27,849 votes and came in third place.[1] Bandou was the first woman to ever stand for Presidency in the country.[2]
