Ankertorvet in the 1930s

Ankertorget was a market square in Oslo, founded 18801882, named after merchant Christian Anker. In the 1970s the market became a construction site, and was replaced by apartment buildings for vocational school students - present day "Anker studentbolig". On site there is a youth hostel and a hotel with entrance from Storgata.
