Ankush Hazra is an India film actor who appears in Bengali films. He made his acting debut in the film Kellafate, which was released in 2010. His next film was Idiot, opposite Srabanti. Ankush made his fourth film, Khiladi, with Nusrat Jahan under the banner of Eskay Movies. After that, he worked two joint production projects with Eskay Movies and Jaaz Multimedia of (Bangladesh).

Early life and biography

Ankush was born in Bardhaman, West Bengal, however, his family is originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh who moved in West Bengal during partition. He studied in Holy Rock School and East West Model School, both in Talit, Bardhaman. Acting was his passion from childhood. After his schooling, Ankush got a chance to study Electronic engineering in Durgapur, but his actual dream was to become an actor. So, he came to Kolkata and settled here. Besides his acting career, he studied BBA at The Heritage Academy in Kolkata. Ankush prepared under Pijus Saha with acting training from an acting school at Bhowanipore. He also learned dancing under Bivash Chowdhury from the renowned dance School.Bivash Academy of Dance (BAD).

2010–2013: Breakthrough and success

Ankush caught the attention of film director Pijus Saha who starred him in his romantic comedy film Kellafate of Banner-Prince Entertainment P4. This film was also produced by Pijus Saha. He was paired opposite newcomer Rupashree. After its release on 10 December. The backdrops of the song sequences was appreciated a lot which ultimately led to the conclusion in the minds of viewers that Ankush was an extraordinary dancer and enhanced his popularity as a great dancer in Tollywood.[1][2]

Later on, Ankush was starred in the Bengali romantic drama film Idiot of Eskay Movies, directed by Rajib Biswas. In this film, Ankush was paired opposite Bengali actress Srabanti Chatterjee. In this film in songs like "Toke Havvy Lagche" and "Pagli Toke Rakhbo Boro Aadore". He again came back with his Bengali film Kanamachi. His recent success include the multistarrer-romantic-comedy film, Jamai 420.
