Anne Duffin
Dr. Anne Duffin is a freelance historian and part-time lecturer at the University of Exeter. She is best known for her work Faction and Faith: Politics and Religion of the Cornish Gentry before the Civil War. (Exeter University Press, 1996. ISBN 0-85989-435-5)
It covers the history of Cornwall in the early seventeenth-century, making extensive use of original documents from the period. One of its main theses is that the area was not naturally inclined to be royalist during the English Civil War.
