Cotana serranotata is a moth of the Eupterotidae family. It is found in Australia,[1] where it has been recorded from Queensland.
The wingspan is about 50 mm for females and 30 mm for males. Adults are sexually dimorphic. Females are brown with pale patches and veins and a prominent white spot on the forewings. The hindwings are plain, but both the fore- and hindwings have a broad dark line. Males are brown with two dark stripes across both the fore- and hindwings.
The larvae feed on the foliage of Melaleuca species.[2]
