Dr. Antonio Busalacchi, Jr. is a professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science, director of the Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC) and Chair of the Council on the Environment (ConE) at the University of Maryland. He is also the chairman of the World Climate Research Programme[1] and co-chair of the National Research Council's Decadal Survey for Earth Science and Applications from Space. He has also served as a head scientist of a division of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.[2]
