Antonio Iturrioz

Antonio Iturrioz is a Cuban born American classical pianist. He is an internationally acclaimed performer, documentary maker and a piano teacher.[1]

Early life

Antonio was born in Cuba in the town of Cardenas. His teachers, amongst others include his father and Bernardo Segall.

Musical style

Antonio gave his first performance at age 9 and his orchestral debut at age 15. After an injury to his hand in his early years, Antonio taught himself to play piano with the left hand, notably compositions of Leopold Godowsky. In 2010 Antonio created a documentary called The Buddha of the Piano - Leopold Godowsky[2] based on his research into the composers life and music. The documentary is regularly aired on TV news channels around the United States and abroad.[3] Antonio is a Steinway Artist [4]

Personal life

Antonio is married and lives with his wife in the Russian River Area of Sonoma, California.
