Anupam Sarkar (born 26 April 1985) is an Indian footballer, from Kolkata in West Bengal. He plays at the Defender position for FC Adeli Batumi of the Pirveli Liga.[3]

Career

He was also the captain of the West Bengal football team, which represents the state of West Bengal in the Santosh Trophy, which won the 2010 Santosh Trophy.[4] Before he played for East Bengal FC[5] and Mohammedan S.C..

On 17 February 2015, he joined Georgian second tier club FC Adeli on loan for four months.[6]

Sarkar made his FC Adeli debut in a 6–0 win over FC STU Tbilisi on 21 March 2015. This appearance allowed Sarkar to join a select group of Indian footballers who have played abroad.[7]
