"Apareces Tú" or "You appear" is the tenth song of the fourth album of the band La Oreja de Van Gogh, titled Guapa.
About the song
Amaia Montero composed this song in its entirety, making it one of the few of this nature since most of the time she collaborated with Xabi San Martín, another member of the band. When it comes to its musical characteristics, the song is a ballad, accompanied with what appears to be the sound of a small bell on the background throughout the whole song. At the beginning and at the end of the song there are also subtle sounds that appear to be heartbeats. This goes well with the lyrics of the song, since this one speaks about love and about a person who has met the person they think ideal. However, above all, the song is about accepting one self and arriving at a point where the person does not feel uncomfortable with who they are. Lines like "The mirror has smiled at me today" and "I have decided to raise my voice" demonstrate this side of the song. In the video of interviews that comes with some editions of Guapa, Amaia explains that the song is also about a person who has decided to settle down and that she wrote it thinking about someone in particular.
