AppsFlyer is a SaaS mobile marketing analytics and attribution platform, based out of Herzliya, Israel, with offices around the world.
It is a privately held company founded in 2011 by Oren Kaniel, its current CEO, and Reshef Mann, its CTO. AppsFlyer received its first funding from the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator program. Their Software Development Kit is available for iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone apps. In 2014, AppsFlyer developed a complementary product called OneLink[1] which provides deep linking support for custom media sources. In November 2014 TechCrunch article, AppsFlyer was identified by Apptopia as the most widely used SDK for analytics after Flurry.[2]
Once the AppsFlyer SDK is installed in a mobile app, it provides advertisers with conversion data for their user acquisition and retention campaigns. Advertisers login to their dashboard, and can monitor which media source was responsible for the mobile activity. Based on this information, advertisers then are able to optimize their advertising budget.
AppsFlyer has the following features to help support advertisers' decision-making: Retention reports, Cohort analysis, TV app ad attribution,[3][4] Bundled app tracking for iOS,[5] OneLink,[1] its mobile deep linking solution, and Rich in-app events.
History
Following the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator, AppsFlyer raised $7 million in Series A funding[6] from Pitango[7] and Magma[8] partners. Using this funding, AppsFlyer developed its proprietary NativeTrackTM technology to attribute app installs with last click attribution. It also opened offices in New York, San Francisco, and Bangkok.
AppsFlyer became a Facebook MMP[9] on 26 December 2012 and a Twitter Official Partner[10] on 30 June 2014. Its platform is now integrated with over 1,000 ad networks, including: Yahoo, Google,[11][12] Bing, iAd, and Criteo.
In January 2015, AppsFlyer announced that it had raised $20 million in Series B funding[13][14] from Fidelity Growth Partners Europe,[15] which has helped accelerate the company’s growth. It opened an office in Beijing, China, and is opening offices[16] in Korea, Japan, Brazil, and Australia. AppsFlyer has 80 employees around the world.
In March 2015, AppsFlyer became one of the first members of Fiksu's Preferred Partner Program for Mobile Ad Campaign Tracking.[17]
