April "Boy" Regino (born Dennis Regino on April 9, 1969) is a returning recording artist from the Philippines who popularized the songs "Paano Ang Puso Ko", "Umiiyak Ang Puso" and "Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin" during the 1990s and famous for his trademark caps.[2]
Early life
He is the oldest of three brothers, all of whom are musicians. His brothers, Vingo and Jimmy, are members of the novelty group April Boys.
Personal life
He is married by non-showbiz wife, Madel Regino with 2 childen: JC and Charmaine Regino.
Music career
He migrated to the United States and is now based there as an entertainer to the Filipino-American community. More recently he was a contract recording artist with Viva Records.
In 2015 after a year of hiatus in showbiz, April Boy is back again in showbiz for his brand new album now in his new music company, GMA Records.[3]
Health
In 2014, April Boy quits showbiz due to cancer in a year of his diagnose. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer, however it is revealed in an interview in Startalk that he is "cancer-free", yet again he suffered from a heart ailment afterwards;[3]
In 2015, Regino was diagnosed with Diabetic retinopathy which causes his left eye to be completely blind.
