Aqel Biltaji is the current mayor of Amman. He was appointed by the cabinet of the Greater Amman Municipality in September 2013. He had occupied several positions over the course of his life most famously as a tourism adviser to King Abdullah II and as chief of Aqaba's city council. [1]
