Arab Liberal Federation (ALF) is a political international federation for liberal political parties. ALF was founded in Cairo in 2008 under the name of "Arab Liberals Network", and Mr. Wael Nawara of Egyptian Ghad Party was elected to be the first president of the network. in 2011 the network changed its name to "The Arab Alliance for Freedom and Democracy" (AAFD), in order to avoid misunderstanding of the word "liberal" in some Arab countries. in Tunisia, 2016, the General Assembly of the alliance changed the name to be "Arab Liberal Federation (ALF)" .
