The Arabian cobra (Naja arabica) is a species of cobra in the genus Naja found in the Arabian Peninsula. The Arabian cobra ranges from western and southern Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Oman.[1] The specific arabica is Latin for Arabic. This species had long been considered a subspecies of the Egyptian cobra (Naja haje), but morphological and genetic differences have led to its recognition as a separate species.[2] It is an elusive species and rarely seen in the wild.
