The Socorro parakeet (Psittacara brevipes) is a species of parrot endemic to Socorro Island in the Revillagigedo Islands, Mexico. Some birders consider it to be a subspecies of the green parakeet (Psittacara holochlorus) based upon plumage variation, not genetic variation. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss due to feral sheep and predation by feral cats.
