The Captain Cook’s pine, (Araucaria cookii), is a large evergreen coniferous tree in the plant family Araucariaceae. It is found in New Caledonia, Polynesia and the Isle of Pines. The tree has introduced to many countries. It is about 60m tall. [1] It is widely known as a variety of Araucaria columnaris.[2]
