Bishop of Uganda

The Anglican diocese of Uganda was formed in 1897 as a division of the diocese of Eastern Equatorial Africa. Prior to 1980, the dioscese included Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Boga, in what was then the country of Zaire. That year, the Diocese of Uganda was separated and made a separate Province: As of June 2012, the Church of Uganda is divided into 34 dioceses and is under an Archbishop.[1]
