Princess Maria Aloisia Josephine Consolata Immaculata Benedicta Theresia Antonia Johanna Carla Conrada Leonharda of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg[1][2] (born 6 November 1935 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany[1][2]) is a Princess of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg and a member of the House of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg by birth, and through her marriage to Archduke Joseph Arpad of Austria, an Archduchess and Princess of Austria and a Princess of Hungary, Croatia, and Bohemia.
Family
Maria is the eldest daughter and child[1][2] of Karl, 8th Prince of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg and his wife Carolina dei Conti Rignon.[1][2] Also she is, by side of her mother, second cousin of the Queen Paola of Belgium, née a princess Ruffo di Calabria.
Marriage and issue
Maria married Archduke Joseph Arpad of Austria, fourth eldest child and eldest son of Archduke Joseph Francis of Austria and his wife Princess Anna of Saxony, civilly on 25 August 1956 and religiously on 12 September 1956 in Bronnbach, Wertheim am Main, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.[1][2] Maria and Joseph Arpad had eight children:[1][2]

- Archduchess Monika-Ilona Maria Carolina Stephanie Elisabeth Immacolata Benedicta Dominica (born 1958), in 1996, she married Charles Rambore (born 1968)
- Archduke Joseph Karl Maria Arpád Stephan Pius Ignatius Aloysius Cyrillus (born 1960), in 1990 he married Princess Margarete of Hohenberg
- Archduchess Maria Christine Regina Stephania Immacolata Carolina Monika Ägidia (born 1961), in 1988 she married Raymond van der Meide (born 1959)
- Archduke Andreas-Augustinus Maria Arpád Aloys Konstantin Pius Ignatius Peter (born 1963), in 1994 he married Countess Marie-Christine von Hatzfeldt-Dönhoff (born 1968)
- Archduchess Alexandra Lydia Pia Immacolata Josepha Petra Paula Maria (born 1965), in 1999 she married Wilhelmus de Wit (born 1965)
