Ardmore is a train station in Ardmore, Oklahoma, United States. It is served by Amtrak's Heartland Flyer train. It is located downtown at 251 East Main Street, and is fully wheelchair accessible. Passengers are not allowed in the depot building as it houses the offices of Downtown Main Street, despite the fact that taxpayer funds were used in its restoration.
History
The station was built by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway in 1916, although some sources believe it was built in 1909. There had been a station built in 1909. The confusion arises because that structure had been destroyed in an explosion, and this building was its replacement.
