Aria is a Japanese monthly shōjo manga magazine published by Kodansha. In April 2010 an announcement was made about plans for a new magazine;[3] its first issue was published on July 28, 2010.[2] The magazine is released in size B5 paper. The magazine targets a more mature audience of women between the ages of 16 and 22.

In 2013, Kodansha increased Aria's print count by roughly 500% to approximately 80,000 copies because of the demand for the prologue chapter of the Attack on Titan spin-off Shingeki no Kyojin: Kuinaki Sentaku, which was published before the serialization began.[4]
