Arkansas Heritage Trail is a designation for roads in Arkansas. The designation was created by the state legislature in March 2009.[1] Roadways included in the system are Arkansas Highway System as well as county roads.

The program emphasizes cooperation among the Arkansas Department of Heritage, the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, and the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.[2] The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program and Arkansas History Commission were also involved in the study of possible routes for designation.[1]
