The Arrinera Hussarya is the first supercar to be produced by Polish automotive manufacturer Arrinera Automotive. It is Poland's first supercar.[4] It is named after Poland's Hussar cavalry.[5]
English car designer and engineer Lee Noble was responsible for the design and production of the chassis in addition to being a member of the supervisory board and a shareholder.[6]
Prototype
The prototype of Arrinera premiered on 9 June 2011 to shareholders and investors. Some journalists have given the supercar name "Venocara", although Arrinera Automotive company has never used this name for its supercar.[7] It featured scissor doors for both the concept car and the production car.[8]
In August 2012 Arrinera Automotive has officially announced name of its supercar the Hussarya. The name is derived from Poland’s Hussar cavalry of the 16th century, known for their beauty, strength and maneuverability, and these are all traits Arrinera hopes to instill in its new supercar.[9]
