Art Cruz (born May 27, 1988, in Downey, California) is an American drummer playing for the metal band Prong (since 2012) and the deathcore/symphonic metal band Winds of Plague (2008-2012, since 2015). He learned to play drums while at South El Monte High School from 2004 to 2006.[1] In 2008 he joined the band Winds of Plague and recorded the album The Great Stone War with them. The album peaked at #72 on the Billboard 200.[2] In 2011 he performed on the band's next album, Against the World, which peaked at #60 on the Billboard 200. In 2012 Cruz left Winds of Plague "due to creative differences"[3] and was asked to play for Prong. He toured with them and recorded the covers album Songs from the Black Hole. In 2015 he returned to Winds of Plague as drummer, while continuing to perform with Prong.
