History

Station site in October 2013

The station was expected to be complete by 2010, but was delayed due to a lack of funding in the capital program.[1][2][3] A groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 18, 2013, with a projected opening date of sometime in 2015.[4] However, the latest projected opening date is August 2016, with delays caused in part by the addition of storm resiliency measures.[5]
