"Atlantis - The Lost Continent Finally Found"
Apart from his professional and scientific interests, Santos has written on a diverse range of subjects including symbolism, Alchemy, the Holy Grail and on comparative Mythology and Religion. His studies led him to conclude that the location of Plato's Atlantis was in Indonesia. This proposed location for the lost continent of Atlantis is also the same as the one for the true biblical Eden, our Original place, contradicting the Out of Africa theory and Out of Taiwan theory for the beginning of Modern Civilization.
Santos affirms that Plato's Atlantis is the same as the mythical Island of Fire and all Paradises Lost that were one and the same and, more controversially, Santos posits that Plato's Atlantis had been really located in Sundaland, or the present day Indonesia, the area of the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea called the Java Sea. After the publication of the Noaa Maps and other tools for bathymetric data, Geologists now understand that there existed a real sunken continent in that region.
Santos has published a number of books on Atlantis and in special one that was a coutry's best seller in Indonesia and became a seminal one, being trasnlated to Indonesian Bahasa, Atlantis - The Lost Continent Finally Found[1] a book that presents his theory on the Indonesian location and that has launched a new hypotheseis on the actual Atlantis location. This has been viewed as a valuable source for Indonesia Tourism.
Although Santos was an engineer and a teacher of Nuclear Physics he came to be more known for his dedication to the theme of Atlantis and of Ancient Traditions. His name is the leading propnent of a scientifi theory on Atlantis. He is quoted iand cited in a number of publications, and his work mentioned in some reputable sources books on the matter.
Santos is thought to have been the only scientist devoted to the matter of Atlantis in modern times and is credited to have been the only ont ot propose one scientific theory on the location theory for Plato's Lost Continent. Proposing Sundaland or the Java Sea as its true and definitive location in scientific form, Santos was highly credited, but in Indonesia, basically.
