Ascertia is a UK-based private company specializing in digital signature and PKI-based security infrastructure solutions. The Ascertia ADSS Signing Server supports various signature formats including PAdES, CAdES, and XAdES. Ascertia participated in ETSI Plug tests on digital signatures in 2010,[1] 2012[2] and 2013.[3]

The Ascertia Docs[4] application is a document management system that supports digital signing of documents, approval workflow and status tracking. A cloud-hosted version of Ascertia Docs is branded as SigningHub. It provides native apps for iOS and Android for document signing from mobile devices.

Its Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions include components required for managing the digital certificate life cycle. This includes Registration Authority (RA), Certificate Authority (CA), Validation Authority (VA) – including support for OCSP, SCVP, and XKMS protocols, Time Stamp Authority (TSA), and long-term evidence Archive Authority (AA) components.

Awards and recognition

Ascertia ADSS CA Server, ADSS OCSP Server (formerly known as TrustFinder [5] and JITC certified) and ADSS TSA Server has been certified by an EU Government IT Security Agency as meeting the EU CWA 14167-1 requirements for trustworthy PKI systems.[6]

In addition ADSS OCSP Server and ADSS SCVP server are certified under US FIPS 201 program and these products exist on the GSA Approved Product List (APL #583 [7] and #692[8] respectively). ADSS SCVP Server is the first product globally to be certified as compliant with the updated FPKI PD-VAL (Certificate Path Discovery and Validation) Program.[9]
