AsiaInspection is a third party quality control and compliance service provider[1] founded in Hong Kong by Sebastien Breteau in 2002.[2] It is accredited by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS)[3] and licensed by AQSIQ to perform inspections and lab testings in China.[4] The company is accredited by the China Metrology Association to perform laboratory testing in China and worldwide. The ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board accredited the company as competent lab tests provider to follow international standards. [5] The company is a member of IFIA, a not-for profit trade federation representing the world’s leading international testing, inspection and certification companies.[6]

The Company

AsiaInspection is a global quality control and compliance service provider that partners with brands, retailers and importers around the world to secure, manage and optimize their supply chain. [7][8] The company offers on site product inspections on consumer goods and food products according to ISO 9001:2008 standards,[9] manufacturing audits to ISO9000 and C-TPAT standards,[10] ethical audits to SA8000 and Sedex SMETA standards, structural audit, environmental audit and laboratory testing.[11]

With over 800 inspectors and auditors classified by product range, and service coverage of 77 countries, the company performs product inspections, supplier audit programs and laboratory testing in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America, for clients based in more than 120 countries.[12][13]

Services are delivered online where clients can book and receive their inspection reports.[14] Reports are delivered within 48 hours of the service being performed.[15]

The company releases studies on quality control[16] and a quarterly synopsis of the Asia-based manufacturing and quality control services industry: the AsiaInspection barometer.[17] The company is regularly featured in the news regarding poor quality food manufactured in China. 48% of food tested in China by AsiaInspection in 2014 failed.[18]

In December 2011, AsiaInspection launched AsiaFoodInspection to perform food product quality control services.[19]

Mergers and Acquisitions

On 1 April 2013 AsiaInspection completed the acquisition of AsiaTech QC, a privately owned quality control company specializing in electronic, metal and plastic components as well as assembly, tooling and consumer products.[20] On 25 June 2013 AsiaInspection fully acquired CHB, a private Chinese owned CNAS and CMA accredited lab testing company. [21] In May 2015, AsiaInspection acquired ANSECO Group, a testing laboratory specializing in children’s products, promotional products, hardlines and textiles and operating laboratories in the United States and Hong Kong. [22]

Awards

AsiaInspection received the Best SME award from Christine Lagarde, then Minister of Commerce and Industry of French Republic, on behalf of the French Chamber of Commerce in China CCIFC in 2006[23]). AsiaInspection also received the 'E-Business of the Year' award from Alibaba in 2008.[24]
