Asia Pacific Gateway

Asia Pacific Gateway (APG) is a submarine communications cable system that is planned to connect Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore.[1][2] It will be about 10,400 kilometres (6,500 mi) long.[1] The capacity will be 54.8 Terabits per second.[3] The APG cable consortium includes Facebook [4] and other 11 leading carriers in the region. The APG cable system is scheduled to be ready for service in 2016.[5]
