Asif Razaq is a leader in the algorithmic trading space based in London.[1] In 2013, he was named in the 40 under 40 list of rising star and the following year won the Banking Award at the Asian Professional Awards [2] He is credited with pioneering 3rd generation adaptive algorithms to combat the threat of aggressive hedge fund activity in the $5 trillion per day FX market and has won numerous industry awards.[3][4]

Early Life and Career

Razaq was born and raised London and graduated with a bachelors and masters in computer science. After a stint at leading technology consultant Accenture, Razaq joined UBS and later Citi Group where he developed FX trading algorithms. He left to join quantitative bank BNP Paribas in London where as global head of FX algorithmic execution he oversaw the development of many pioneering new algorithms.[5]

Personal life

Razaq lives in London with his wife and three children.
