Linguistics

• Aspirated consonant, a plosive pronounced with a strong burst of air
  • Aspirated fricative (Fricative consonant), a constant produced by forcing air through a narrow channel made by placing two articulators close together.
• Voiceless glottal fricative, the sound [h]
  • Rough breathing, a symbol used in Ancient Greek to indicate an /h/ sound
  • Debuccalization, the conversion of a consonant to [h] or [ʔ]

• Aspiration pneumonia, a lung infection caused by pulmonary aspiration
