Assaad Chaftari
Born in 1955,Assaad Chaftari, also spelled Assaad Shaftari, served as a senior intelligence official of the Christian militia in LebanonLebanese Forces. Chaftari was a close associate of Elie Hobeika. After a letter of apology to the Lebanese for his war actions edited by the press on February 2000, he is now dedicated to promote personal change, peace building and reconciliation. He is member of Moral Rearmament -Lebanon or Initiatives of Change-Lebanon since 1988. Co Founder and board member of Fighters for Peace since 2014. Deputy General coordinator of a Gathering called "Unity is our Salvation- Wahdatouna Khalasouna" 2008- 2014. General coordinator of the same Gathering since November 2014. Issued a book named " La Verite meme si ma voix tremble" in 2015- Edition Dergham about his story of Change.
