Association of Synchronous Data Formats
The Association of Synchronous Data Formats (ASDF) was created in 1988 by the National Science Foundation to promote the usage of high-end synchronous data transmission technology for both intranet and internet solutions. The National Science Foundation is a United States government agency that supports fundamental research and education in all the non-medical fields of science and engineering.
