AssuredPartners NL (formerly Assured Neace Lukens) is an insurance brokerage firm founded in 1991 by John Neace and Joe Lukens. With headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky,[1] the firm has more than 150 licensed agents and more than 600 employees[1] operating in 37 offices.[2]

As of July 2011, Neace Lukens was the 24th largest private insurance firm in the country as ranked by Business Insurance magazine.[3] Neace Lukens was acquired by AssuredPartners, Inc. in September 2011;[4] AssuredPartners, Inc., in turn, is owned by Apax Partners.[5]

Leadership

The firm was founded in 1991 by John Neace and Joe Lukens. As of 2012, Larry Schaefer is the firm's president.[6] Todd Stocksdale is the company's COO.[7]

Acquisitions

In 2012, AssuredPartners NL acquired a number of local insurance firms in the South and Midwest: First Carolina Risk Management Advisors,[8] Benefit Concepts Inc.,[9] Morehead Insurance,[10] Matrix Benefits and Consulting Group,[11] Arison Insurance Services, Inc.,[12] Jenkins Insurance Service[13] Berryman Insurance [14] It had previously acquired Ohio Benefit Group LLC,[15] Lent Agency;[16] Plamp-Keen Agency Inc.,[17] and the Phoenix office of The Horton Group.[18] Additional acquisitions include: Gosnell Agency,[19] Davis-Garvin,[20] Schroeder Agency,[21] Insurors,[21] Buckley & Co.,[22] Creech & Stafford,[23] Turner & Hamrick, LLC[24] Premiere Coastal Insurance Group,[25] Hukill Hazlett Harrington Agency,[26] First Palmetto Insurance Agency,[27] Colonial Insurance Agency,[28] Greater South Agency,[29] Bandy Van Cleave & Williamson,[30] Western Rivers Insurance[31] and Bohannon-Meyer Insurance, Inc.[32]
