Asterix is a tug operating in Southampton Water. She is a 13.08m STu 1205 built by Damen Stan and is one of a pair of tugs delivered to Fawley Refinery in 2014.[1]
2015 incident
On 31 March 2015, she capsized at Fawley[2] in strong winds[3] and sank.[4] Both crew were rescued.[5] Her successful salvage was announced on 12 April 2015.[6]
