Athens High School is a public high school located in Athens, Texas (USA) and classified as a 4A school by the UIL. It is part of the Athens Independent School District located in central Henderson County. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.[2]

- Band
- The Athens High School Band competes in conference 4A. During the spring semester, they perform several concerts and participate in UIL Concert and Sightreading contest
- The band has been awarded the UIL "Sweepstakes" award for earning 1st division ratings in marching, concert and in sightreading competitions for the past 9 consecutive years [3]
- The band most recently performed in Washington D.C. and has also performed at Universal Studios, Walt Disney World and in Chicago at the Field Museum.

- Athens High School has a Hybrid fibre-coaxial network connection from Suddenlink Communications, which can operate at up to gigabit speeds outside of normal school hours. This high bandwidth is notably observed when downloading or uploading to and from services hosted by large domains, particularly Google and Microsoft. Superior network speeds have been observed while using services, not limited to: Skype, OneDrive, Google Drive, and recently YouTube. [8]
